Transfer Options – Seaplane or Island Cruise
Exactly where are we?
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort is located 47 nautical miles from the Fijian mainland, on Nacula Island, in the “Blue Lagoon” part of the Yasawa Island Group. You have two options to transfer to the island. You can take a scenic cruise aboard a large Ferry or you can take a seaplane.
The Yasawa Flyer - By Awesome Adventures
“Awesome Adventures” operate an Island Ferry service aboard the Yasawa Flyer - also known as the "big yellow boat" - this is a catamaran which departs Denaurau Marina once daily at 8.30am and arrives at the Blue Lagoon at approx. 12.45 pm, and then returns to take guests back to the mainland, arriving back at Denaurau Marina at approx 5:45pm each day.
Do not let the time frame alarm you - the vessel collects passengers at each port - so the scenic cruise is all about taking in the stunning islands and enjoying the surrounds. you have the ability to wander the viewing decks to take in the sites of the islands and resorts you pass. Schools of Dolphins have been known to 'play' along side the boat at times too.
The trip is only NZ$134p/p one way, and children aged 5 yrs to 15 yrs are half price. We can also make this booking for you. (Rates Valid til 31st March 2018 and subject to change to 3rd party supplier rules.)
This rate also includes courtesy coach transfers supplied by Awesome Adventures if you are to be located within their scheduled pick up/drop off areas. See more details here.
Also, maybe the Captains lounge is more your style – pay slightly more and experience a private lounge which seats up to 30 people, and a designated steward, available to offer you complimentary beverages and snacks during your journey. (We highly recommend this service.) See here for more details.
Remember, we are always happy to help you with any issues relating to your arrival or departure details. Just let us know and we can assist you.
Pacific Island Seaplanes
The quickest and most efficient way to get to the resort is via seaplane as the seaplane lands on the beach at the resort, and arrives back to the domestic terminal. Our preferred carrier is Pacific Island Air whom offer seaplane transfers direct from Nadi airport to the resorts beach. These flights are subject to availability and must be pre booked.

Please note the resort does not accept any seaplane arrivals before 8.30am due to noise disturbance to inhouse guests
Getting Around on the Mainland
On arrival to the international airport you will see a row of taxis waiting to take you to your destination – or most mainland hotels have this service – but we will help to co-ordinate your transfers with you on the expected day of arrival to the resort, whether you are needing to go to the marina or need to organise a taxi to the seaplane. Our dedicated transfer team will automatically be in touch once your booking is confirmed and take it from there.
